Almost everyone at Court wrote a little poetry for occasions, and so did the Queen, but it was purely as a form of communication among colleagues and friends, and so was completely private. It may well be that some things have been attributed to her that she didn’t write. In any case, such poetry was like letters or emails today, not meant to be spread about through publication.
